Whitney Elizabeth Houston (August 9, 1963 - February 11, 2012) was an American musician, actress and model. In 2009, Guinness World Records, cited as the most awarded act of all time. His awards include two Emmy Awards, six Grammy Awards and 30 Billboard Awards and 22 American Music Awards with a total of 415 awards were for his career in his life. Houston also was one of the music artists on the international bestseller, having sold over 170 million albums, singles and videos worldwide. Houston sang with a gospel choir in New Jersey Youth Church at the age of 11 years. After he began performing with her mother at a nightclub in New York, was discovered by Arista Records label head Clive Davis. Houston has released seven studio albums and three albums of music, all with diamond, multi-platinum, platinum or gold certification.

On February 11, 2012, was found dead in his room in Houston at the Hilton Hotel in Beverly Beverly Hills, California, for reasons not immediately known. The news of his death, on the eve of the Grammy Awards 2012, the U.S. and international media, especially cable news dominated for several days
